If we talk about player then "Luis Suarez" of Liverpool is in no. 1 position with 22 goals.

No, which TEAM holds the all time record. Sorry for confusion, but never was good at explaining.
It was Chelsea last season (2012/13), 147 goals in all competitions. They scored their 100th on February 9th in 4-1 win against Wigan. I'm pretty sure City will, at least, get very close. A lot depends, obviously on how far they progress in Europe.

As recent as that.

Thanks.
I think Chelsea must have got close to the record for number of games played in a season, too. Remember, they had two extra games in Europe, because of falling into the Europa League. Also, a couple of games in the World Club Championship in Japan, a run to the semi finals of League Cup (including two legs in semis). Think they must have played the best part of seventy matches.

Man City have scored 103 already and have at least another 21 games to play in all competitions. It seems unlikely they'll get less than 45 more.
I find it hard to believe that 147 is the record. But maybe it is
