The upcoming first legs are

Man City V Barcelona
Arsenal V Bayern Munich
Olympiakos V Man Utd
Galatasaray V Chelsea

with the return ties 3 weeks later.

On current form, will any of the English teams get through to the next round?

Why has a sensible question regarding England sides and their involvement in the Champions League, descended into an irrational volley of abuse, along the lines of "and my dad's bigger than your dad" ? Childish is right!!

opinions are: all bar one reckon that Chelsea will go through, the other teams only have one vote each in their favour
bernie, I know very little about the quality of the Greek League, suffice to say, it's nowhere near the strength of our top flight. However, Olympiakos can only beat what's put in front of them (something they seem to manage with great regularity). Confidence plays a huge part in football, and Man Utd seem very, very short of it at the moment. I know the bookies rarely get it wrong, but they won't be getting a penny of my money at evens.

2 down (unless miracles do happen), 2 to go

1 definitely out, 3 to go - the hoi polloi know the form of their football teams (so far)
