The recent Ofcom ruling about TV rights is likely to have far more effect upon the Premier League. Some clubs might see their TV revenue cut by as much as a half.
What might do for Abramovich is his being expected to bankroll Blatter's World Cup in 2018. He isn't directly affected by the oil price but most definitely indirectly
All of which would be good news of course :-)
