in principle i agree but there never has been 3 teams up and 3 teams down. in the past it was only 2 each way. at the moment i think that the canaries are better placed to thrive next season than my side: the formally mighty magpies!
i have thought it ludicrous that a team can get to 70-80 pts and lose out to a side gaining 64 for a final promotion spot. i confess that i was on the boro's side to have 3 from NE in EPL, i do,however, congratulate NCFC on their promotion.

in the days that magpie describes, when it was 2 up - 2 down, norwich were always a bit of a yoyo side, shuttling between the 1st and 2nd divisions, even in the days of john bond and the great ted mcdougall.

hopefully they'll manage to stay up for a few seasons.....
