Hi everyone! Yes, it's back! With 7 days until kick-off, I've taken the liberty of restarting the Answerbank League at Sky Sports - https:/ /fantas yfootba ll.skys ports.c om/
(This is where I pretty much C & P last year's blurb...)
Hopefully all the regulars will enter a couple of teams & let's hope that a few more fancy having a go this season. Don't worry if you know *nothing* about football but still want to join in - you can use the option to have a team selected at random. The facility to enter a 3rd team in January will also be available.
As last year, we're given £100m to spend & have unlimited transfers until the Match Day deadline on Friday 10th August, then you get 5 per week / 40 for the season. They've kept the "Overhaul" feature, which means that for one week in September & one week in February, *unlimited* transfers will be available, *not* coming out of the 40 per season allowance! This was quite handy last season.
Info on all that ^ & more is here - https:/ /fantas yfootba ll.skys ports.c om/help
The paragraph "Captain Changes" in that link ^ is a "must-read".
When you've picked a team (or two) - yourself, or used automatic selection, name your team(s), then join the League - ours is called "AnswerBank" & the PIN you need to enter is -
8390546
You can then change the visibility of your team(s) between "Public" & "Private", depending on whether you want other Managers to be able to see the details. A note here - just because I'm called the League "Chairman" doesn't mean I'm given special powers. I can't see "Private" teams & I get no other privileges.
The following links can be useful (though as they point out, not necessarily definitive) to check for injuries and suspensions prior to game days -

This can be useful near to, or on, Game Days -

Ok, I think that's covered everything needed to get the League going & I wish everyone lots of fun & good luck for the forthcoming season! :-))

At the risk of sounding an even bigger idiot than I actually have already ( hard gig that) do I actually have to do anything now my teams are set up or is it all kind of auto play? I don't want to miss doing something if I'm supposed to be doing it. I told you there would be moron questions, sorry .x
Hi kvalidir, Have you chose you captains for the up coming games, captains get double points whether positive or negative (Sent off for eg.) other than that it's automatic and hope your players are fielded and have a good game, what you do need to keep an eye out for is injuries or suspensions either of which if say for three games you may want to consider transferring said player out for the duration or keep the player you've brought in.
Hi kval - use the links in the OP on game days to check team news & injuries/suspensions.
The 1st match is tomorrow (Friday 10th - schedule is on the right on most of the pages), so if you've a Man Utd or Leicester player in your squad, make them the day's Captain & their points are doubled - positive or negative ones!
Assuming that you have at least one player from one of the day's participating teams, on Saturday, change the Captain to a player from one of those teams, likewise on Sunday.
Repeat for each match day...

Hi spath - on the "My Team" page, above the "pitch" you should see -
My Team Captains Transfers H2H
- click "Captains" & the next Game Days open to the right with a drop-down option for each day. Only players that match with actual playing teams are highlighted.
For example, if you've no Man Utd or Leicester players, then your Captain choice for tomorrow's match is moot - you don't get one!

kval - (if I understand you correctly) yes, up to a point. You can only make Captain changes *once* per game day.
That means that if - eg - there's a match at 12:00 & a match at 3:00 *on the same day*, you only get to choose once.
You can't pick a Captain for the early match then another for the later one.
