Hi everyone! Yes, it's back! With 7 days until kick-off, I've taken the liberty of restarting the Answerbank League at Sky Sports - https://fantasyfootball.skysports.com/

(This is where I pretty much C & P last year's blurb...)

Hopefully all the regulars will enter a couple of teams & let's hope that a few more fancy having a go this season. Don't worry if you know *nothing* about football but still want to join in - you can use the option to have a team selected at random. The facility to enter a 3rd team in January will also be available.

As last year, we're given £100m to spend & have unlimited transfers until the Match Day deadline on Friday 10th August, then you get 5 per week / 40 for the season. They've kept the "Overhaul" feature, which means that for one week in September & one week in February, *unlimited* transfers will be available, *not* coming out of the 40 per season allowance! This was quite handy last season.

Info on all that ^ & more is here - https://fantasyfootball.skysports.com/help

The paragraph "Captain Changes" in that link ^ is a "must-read".

When you've picked a team (or two) - yourself, or used automatic selection, name your team(s), then join the League - ours is called "AnswerBank" & the PIN you need to enter is -

8390546

You can then change the visibility of your team(s) between "Public" & "Private", depending on whether you want other Managers to be able to see the details. A note here - just because I'm called the League "Chairman" doesn't mean I'm given special powers. I can't see "Private" teams & I get no other privileges.

The following links can be useful (though as they point out, not necessarily definitive) to check for injuries and suspensions prior to game days -

http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/epl_injury_table.php

This can be useful near to, or on, Game Days -

Ok, I think that's covered everything needed to get the League going & I wish everyone lots of fun & good luck for the forthcoming season! :-))

I can see the carrot at the end of the tunnel

Well that was interesting. With less than half my "teams" in action I managed to plunder 8 goals and a bit of passing and tackling bonus. Probably all be on the sick list by Monday.

"Firmino, Mane, and Salah are the other two strikers" Gary Lineker
WEll done for that Togo. Fokwitz is off to a flyer (Visible team) 42 points this week (thus far). I can't imagine She gained 43 bonus points so when the team was set up it accumulated points from week one witch is a good thing. The team only entered our league this week.
I have quite a few playing today and a couple tomorrow so not panicking ...yet.

*Which ;-)
Rather pleased...I usually do ok when I can be bothered to keep up to date
Hi Rowan, It is good that your team was set up before we all kicked off. I were curious about that, a few of us had trouble entering second team into AB league seems to be having to enter the code for each team. Good luck. Hopefully some of my players will play this week.
Took me ages to work it out, in the end I signed out, signed back in and started with the Fokwitz. It didn't like copy and paste for the code either.
Yeah, I know what you mean. Teacher had that trouble as well. I sussed and explained on one of threads... that you after pasting the code click somewhere on the page (Not a button) then enter team.

It is good to have you back on board Rowan Xx
Good to be back

Many Managers made many marks. Meh.

I haven't made a very auspicious start to the season & before next weekend fully intend to use a few transfers up.

Well done to those who've flown out of the blocks - can you keep it up though?

Keep on having fun & be well :-)

I've just seen a video recording of the game and I'm going to tape Neighbours over it

You're not doing too bad L.I.K. week one was a disaster for both my teams but apart from De Bruyne did not panic and it paid off with quite a few scoring on week two and actually being fielded.

Long, long, long way to go yet and I intend to save my transfers although on game-week five with the transfer amnesty I may swap a few about.
Even though early and only having played only four games I'll post our first AB league then due to the 'International Break'.

Bliney!.. :-)) The only way is up Spath... you're gonna need a snickers bar as well as a Marathon.

It's usually about tenth game in that it starts taking shape like the proper league... but it is a game of two halves anything can happen.

Hope you do a little better this weekend.
that darn bliney stone.... *Blimey!

Afternoon all - a reminder to reset your Captains if you need/want to before Game Week 3 starts tomorrow. The weekend looks like this -

Saturday - 6 matches, 1st kick-off 12:30
Sunday - 3 matches, 1st kick-off 1:30
Monday - 1 evening match, kick-off 8:00

Arky - "...not doing too bad..." isn't doing good enough, I'm afraid!

I will however hold off with the transfers for now & instead hope for actual game time for some of my players.

Hope everyone has a good Bank Holiday weekend & keeps well :-)

Sadly we are back in the position we were in three years ago, but look how far we have come

3rd and 4th last season... you crept in out of nowhere at the end of last season, I know what you're like.

Spath ;-) chortling on the inside.
Strewth. I have had so many "cards" delivered I though it was Christmas. :((

What a shocker.. the seagulls only raise their game against big clubs.
