I hope they throw the book at him. All the sacrifices over the last year by many law-abiding people are trashed by these horrible outlaws. No respect for lesser mortals.

1. You can't spread Covid-19 unless you've got it. (Yes, I know that many people are asymptomatic but you still can't spread if you've not got it at all). Professional footballers are regularly tested to check that they've not got Covid-19, and it seems that the hairdressing undergoes regular testing too, so the chances of Covid-19 passing from one to to the other are virtually zero ;
2. You can't be a 'superspreader' in a one-to-one environment. It simply goes against the very definition of the word ;
3. From a statistical viewpoint, a guy who makes a one-off trip to a hairdresser's salon (where he'll be on his own, apart from the presence of the hairdresser) is probably far less likely to catch or spread Covid-19 than people who still insist on doing their supermarket shopping every day, and across several different stores, rather than trying to get everything in just one store (at a time when it's very quiet) no more than once per week ;
4. He's not even in the same league as many others are when it comes to putting people at risk:

None of that means that he was right to get his hair cut professionally. He wasn't. However Canary42 seems to have a downer on well-paid professional footballers simply because of who they are, rather than because of their specific actions.

"I wonder how the hairdresser is getting regularly tested Chris? Surely it's expensive having private tests especially if you are mandated not to work by the govt"
If he lives in an area where there's a lateral flow testing centre, he can't get them done quite frequently, especially if it's a walk in. My OH's cousin has gone paranoid and gets 3-4 a week in the London Borough where he works
