In a very mediocre performance last night,I thought Wayne Rooney stood out.
He seem to play his new role,that of a "headless chicken" excellently.
The last time I saw a player chase the ball everywhere like that,was in an under 9s game
in which my grandson was playing !

they were useless.
gerrard's passing ranger was great though just shame about the player receiving the pass.
i have no idea why ashley young dived in the box but if he stayed on his feet he'd have been clattered and won the spot kick anyway. think the diving has came into his game lately.
1/2 the team yesterday don't even deserve a call up in my opinion.
