Excellent. Bibblebub, does that mean the American deal definitely goes through or could we still opt for the Asian deal?

You mean RBS have won

Yes I know dave but it sounds more dramatic to put Liverpool in the headline.

flobby - you have as much idea as I, but it looks like it will be the American deal. No word on any appeal yet.
The Judge has ruled against Hicks and Gillette but the verdict could be subject to an appeal. This is according to Radio Merseyside latest Sports Report.
H&G have allegedly lost £144m, no way will they take this lying down. This is going to run and run until we are all sick of it, if your not already.

The fans of any football club, are the club, they are there before and long after any player, manager or board member and without them there would be no club. They are being treated shabbily as fans always are.

Lets hope the leap from the frying pan misses the fire.

The very latest is that the Texas State Court has granted a temporary restraining order blocking the sale of Liverpool FC; the gruesome twosome are clearly clutching at every straw.

Part 2.

Hurrah.

Now for that Texan folderol to be sorted.
Everybody will ignore the Texas court. It's only a temporary order but it wouldn't matter if the judge there declared an order permanent. Under their law and ours the "proper law" of anything to do with this company's affairs is English law.It follows that the judge's rulings here, applying English law, will be respected abroad (including in the US). Indeed an American judge called upon to decide any matter concerning this company's affairs would, if he or she decided to try it as suitable for his jurisdiction, would apply English law (calling experts on English law to tell him what it is) under the principles of Conflict of Laws ( "Private International Law")
I can't understand why the fans of football clubs don't buy them and give themselve free entry. It would be worth it in the long run.
Question Author
fredpuli47 - yes, particularly as the gruesome twosome omitted info about the London case in their Texas submission, and a higher court of appeal over there would almost certainly cede jurisdiction to the London High Court.

I hope the momentum for a fans class action against H&G for mental anguish etc. continues and doesn't just tail off.

Someone on Twitter has just pointed out that Liverpool have now won more court cases than league games this season.
