Cheltenham Festival.

The festival starts tomorrow. Always a great week of National Hunt Racing. I have been looking at the runners and have narrowed the field. Well for me anyhow. I have listed below some of my 'fancies'.

I will do place pots every day based on these selections but will be having a close look at a nice acca or a bet that includes 4folds upwards on the *selections. Bear in mind that Vautor holds an entry for Fridays Gold Cup and may not run Thurs at 2.50. I think tomorrow the bookies could be slated with 4 of those selections, albeit at small odds. On Friday I like Ivanovich Gorbatov but will wait for now. Plus Dr Harper that I have picked for Thurs 5.30 originally held 6 entries over the 4 days.

Had that race whittled down to 2, yours and Rock The Kasbah, the only 2 lto winners in the line up who ticked most of the 'trends' boxes. Went for the latter as i am more familiar with the Hobbs/Johnson combo. Kicked myself afterwards - well, i say "kicked myself", truth is i missed!

Morning all, lovely day for it. Todays hopes are listed, will do 4 place pots, and any punt laid will not have the short priced Limini or Vautor in it. My short prices acca bombed out yesterday, but hey, for a couple of quid I had fun. A cup of coffee costs more.

Having a terrible festival as far as winners are concerned though the racing is, as usual top notch. My only saving grace could be that i never have a good Cheltenham and Aintree in the same year so i may be due one hell of a festival come the 2nd week of April:-)

All I can do ken is find the hot pots. Little treble on todays 3 hot favs gave me some back. If yesterdays 2 favs had obliged I would be sweating on Ivanovich Gorabatov for a 4 figure sum. Oooooooo Yanworth & Un De Sceux both second.

Bobs Worth did me a favour today, 3rd @ 50/1, me and a mate had £5 e/w on Amigo in the last @ 40/1 which finished 5th, luckily Bet365 payed 1st 5 home.

Need Zubayr and Cue Card tomorrow for £360 from some ante post accas

Apparently Diego Du Charmil who won for Paul Nicholls on Wednesday trounced Zubayr on the gallops at home so looking forward to seeing that in the Triumph Hurdle

Nice work Panky, I will adopt the scatter gun approach tomorrow and try for a placepot or little ew acca on a number of big fields. Vautor looked pretty special today, has again been a great few days racing. Good prices tomorrow. I will post in the morning after checking non runners.

Haha Panky you appear to be using the same strategy as myself, good luck.
If you want to do a full cover placepot. You will be doing 96 combinations for the first 6 races. Minimum stake is 10p, you could of course get 96 placepots up at 10% of the payout for each winning line at a cost of £9.60.

Probably my worst festival for about 20 years but we gamblers are a hardy sort. Besides which, if i didn't have a bet, i could be walking around lucky without even knowing it:-) A not so strict interpretation of the main stats (i don't have the time to nit-pick through the minor stats) has produced the following selections;
