Aintree 2019
62 Answers
In the banquet of national hunt racing, Cheltenham is the main course and Aintree the dessert - the Grand National aside, of course. Many of those who took part in the Festival also try their luck at Aintree where, quite often, tables are turned with Cheltenham losers becoming Aintree winners.
Though the fields are generally smaller at Aintree, the trends are just as strong and i'm hoping for a decent first day;
1.45; Glen Forsa @ 7/2
2.20; Pentland Hills @ 9/4
2.50; Kemboy @ 15/8
3.25; Buveur D'air @ 10/11*
50p Yank, £1 trebles, £1 acca = £10.50 stake. Poss return of £317.75.
*Wouldn't normally touch odds-on chances (had hoped for evens) but, if it stays on it's feet, it could be the banker of the day.
4.05; Ucello Conti @ 9/1
4.40; Brelan D'as @ 9/1
5.15; Misty Whisky @ 7/1
Win singles, .50 Patent, .75p e.w. Treble = £20 stake. 3 placed = £14, 3 winners = £1,068.
Good luck anyone having a punt today

Good luck, Togo. Forgot to mention that i've also done the Placepot and, for the ITV 7, i've stuck with those i've backed plus Warriors Valley and Eur Gone West.
On the lookout for promotions and i see that PP are offering a risk free bet up to £20 which will be refunded as cash on ANY sports bet struck @ at least 5/4. The offer is open for the next 7 days so i may just wait until the big 'un on Saturday before i use mine.

I look out for unexposed(ie. Novice Hurdles, NHF) Irish horses that were bet at Cheltenham but ran down the field.
I figure everyone's entitled to a bad day and why bring them back unless they expected a better outcome.
Have had some good priced winners and some I think the owners just like crowds. ;-(

Doesn't matter what class a horse runs in, spice, i always forgive a horse one bad run. As you can see i've done a few that ran at Cheltenham, mainly because the stats have pointed me in that direction. My main concern is that this year, there has only been 3 weeks between the two meetings so anything that had a hard race at Cheltenham may be best avoided. I don't usually back horses that fell lto but in Kemboy's case, it may well be a blessing in disguise - he should still be as fresh as a daisy :-)
