I have just about a day's work to finish a current decorating job and, given the first day menu served up by this year's festival, i will most likely see it through. It means having to miss watching my first runner but the other 3 don't go until late afternoon and i should be home in plenty of time to see all 3. Then, in the hope that the menu improves throughout the coming days, i'll be taking the rest of the week off.

Morning Ken, and occasional "visitors" just got my flutter sorted and don't forget the ITV7 which was not won on Saturday. Looking for a bit of e/w value today and hope I can emulate one of my brothers. He missed getting a bet on Saturday due to working in the pouring rain sorting out 4 dry verges for his gaffer as a big favour. He was rewarded with a nice little "bonus" so did, unusually, a Sunday punt on his way to babysit his Granddaughter He had 3 out of three up at Pontefract, a £2.50 Trixie at odds of 6/1,5/1,6/1. Coined £1065.50 for a £10 stake. He didn't know he had won till he picked up a paper Mon Morning. Good luck if you are having a go. Try to get a stroll in before the off.

At least you managed to find a winner, Togo.Nothing doing for me today, but i've just kicked off tonight's Patent/e.w. Treble with an 11/2 winner (Double Court). Waiting for Dora's Field and Putting Green, now. £515 back if all oblige:-)

True Ken but I did, as well as the single on Dancealot, cash out on the remaining punt after a place with the first and Dancealot. We were having a massive thunderstorm and Sky had dropped out and the internet was on the blink. The lights were flickering on and off so I cashed out the remaining place acca, doubles and trebles for £35 and held my breath. Haha good move. Get the bleedas tomorrow now.

Dora's Field could only manage a 1 and 3/4l 4th but Putting Green duly obliged. £30.63 back for my fiver. Just had a quick peek at tomorrow's offering and there are 4 handicaps to get my teeth into - 2 of them with 20 or more runners.

A shocking morning up here. Hissing it down again and blowing. Hopefully we won't get the electric storms we had yesterday and I can watch the races and keep up with what is happening. Done the ITV7 as per with a little e/w acca on it and done the first 4 at Goodwood in my usual bet. Win single placed on the first race, hoping for a flier.

No tip Ken. Goldie can be relied on to ready a springer, and the horse is closely related by breeding to Jack Dexter...….a very good horse. Just thought it was way overpriced. Ran OK first time out. Bit green at the off but was staying on nicely without being pushed to hard. Plus the race at Doncaster was a much better race over a furlong less.

Gleniffer finished about 6th in a run which sort of mirrored it's debut, up to a point. Perhaps one for handicaps, Togo.
