Me and Mr.Myfanwy doing a few bets at York today. All the races at the halfway mark, half the jockeys drop their reins.A wee bit of a joke to be truthful.Okay for them, they are still getting paid.Doesnt do much for older punters such as us who want to see a decent, fair race in progress and getting some kind of a swindle going on.Rant over.

Looks like we are on similar wavelengths today Ken. I picked my ITV7 last night in case the web was down with the storms. See no reason to alter it today. * Denotes Win Acca, Doubles and Trebles. ** Denotes E/W Singes & E/W Double. Left the, odds on, Battaash out of all bets except the ITV7 as like you I cannot see it being beat. Good luck.
Restorer** @13/2 1.45Y
Soft Whisperer* @13/8 1.55S
Dashing Willoughby* @2/1 2.15Y
Dubai Quality** @15/2 2.25S
Battaash 3.15Y
Yazaman* @4/1 2.45Y
Tawleed* @4/1 3.45Y

I have picked teams on The Sky site Ken as I think it is liable to get very busy nearer the day. Tip....it appears to have a problem with allocating Public Leagues. I highlighted Stoke as my team but they put me in The Wimbledon F.C. league.....I am the only one in it. When I tried to put the Stoke City pin No. in it tells me that it is an invalid pin number. I have messaged them. Sorry to divert Spice.
Named my teams....Two Metres Apart & Lockdown My Rrrs. Haha.
No sort of run there from Restorer. No matter which stable they're housed in, the doc's nags appear to be running way below par at present :-(
Strange Ken isn't it. Ran well last time out at Chester. Penwortham was unlucky last night as well did you see the finish?
Soft Whisper won easily enough. Hoo bleedin ray, I'm off the mark.
I did, Togo, but Penwortham has been the exception to the rule just lately. The doc has had quite a few runners in the last couple of weeks and only a few have troubled the judge. 14 runners (and 11 days) since his last winner, which was his sole victor in over 28 attempts since 10 August - and 26 of those have been at his fav track, Chester! Maybe they're just a tad in the handicapper's grip at the mo?
I think I might have uttered a little expletive last nigh Ken when that race was running.
Think I heard you :-)
Haha. Need to nip out for an hour or so....a little trixie on the last 3 Tawleed, Waliyak, & Finest Sound. Better get a raincoat on methinks.

York is getting interesting today.
Had to laugh at Alex Greaves leaping n' shrieking in the steward's room when she heard the result of the Nunthorpe (DH)
Lol, no decorum.
My late mother was a big fan of Jim Crowley - she'd have filled her boots today. I'm not his greatest fan but I have to admit he's making a better fist of his current job than my fav pilot, Paul Hanagan, did when he was in the blue and white.
Got a little back for my e.w. punt in the last, so not a total washout with more to come.
Just discovered that Red Right Sand is part owned by a Burnley connection so I've had a little e.w. tickle. As you do.
That must be a sickener. over 800 winners of the ITV7. :-((

Talking through your pockets. Do you not stop and think just how many people would have to be in on a 'swindle' for it to have any effect. Over 800 people won the ITV 7 today, proof positive that races were truly run affairs.
You also appear to be under the illusion that all jockeys are on big money. The majority receive a riding fee (not a great deal) and a percentage of any winnings so it really would be self beneficial for them to do the best they can.

Really looking forward to today. I've got 5 dead certs and 2 nailed on R/FC's at York.
Some good racing in Ireland too. Is Cadillac as good as it promises?
Good luck all especially Ynna. Hope you can pick a 'trier' today. ;-).
// I've got 5 dead certs and 2 nailed on R/FC's at York.//

You've got no chance unless you have bribed the jockeys, like wat I av.

I have just about stuck with horses I have been putting in previous bets and all my "Stable" notifications from the Sporting Life. Stuck to the ITV7 races again and have done the first 5***** in a 25p Super Yankee with a 30p E/W Acca. Some of the races had 2 horses in my Stable list or another that I have been punting so I have also done 3 Rev. F/Casts as well in those races. I have also taken the extra places where I could. Didn't half get complicated. Haha I need a lie down.

Kings Charisma* @18/1 2.25 Y. Kipps r/f
Gin Palace* @10/1 2.40 San.
Threat* @15/2 3.00 Y.
Cemhaan* @15/2 3.15 San. Mathew Flinders r/f
Kings Advice* @33/1 3.40Y.
Dream World 3.55 San.
Winter Power 4.10 San Mamba Wamba r/f

For now the last two named are only in the ITV7 or a rev/fcast, but are available for a cover bet or a scramble later. I may also do singles as the races progress if I get that vibe from the parade rings. Good luck.

You should really let us in on your dead certs and nailed on f/cs, Spice. Only fair.

2.25 Y; A Star Above @ 10/1
2.40 S; Gin Palace @ 17/2
3.15 S; Makram @ 7/1
3.40 Y; Ghostwatch @ 10/1

Win singles, 20p Lucky 15, £1 e.w. acca. 4 placed = £56 (e.w. component placed with Sky who pay more places on 3 of the races) 4 winners = £9,906.

ITV 7; Above named plus Shine So Bright, Queen's Course and Ben Macdui. Although the limit would be reached with less stake, I have done a £1 e.w. acca just in case of the slight possibility that one of them only manages 2nd spot :-)

York Placepot; 5-8-6-7-2-5
PS; I also tried bribing the jocks but, as we all know, they're all multi-millionaires and don't need my few bob :-/
Willy Haggas is capable of having the 1-2 in this 2.25, so I've done the rev f/c (bit of a mug's f/c too, on reflection) A /Star Above and Favourite Moon.
