Should you hear an almighty roar at around 1.30 tomorrow afternoon, you will know that the Festival has begun. I have no doubt there will be some exciting races ahead but my enthusiasm is slightly tempered by the scarcity of handicap races - my fav source of interest. There are just 2 on Tue, Wed and Fri with 3 on Thurs, so i may have Lucky 15/e.w. acca bets running over 2 days?
If you intend to have a punt at the Festival, the very best of luck to you:-)

Done the ITV7 and E/W Acca, E/W Trebles, Win Doubles.**** 3 races in the ITV7 that I wouldn't have a punt on with someone elses money and Hexham with a perfectly good card is ignored. Can't figure it out. Might have a look at Nurse Susan in the 4.50 as well. Owner and trainer the same as one of my earlier picks and even the same Sire. Good Luck everyone, but I honestly deserve a bit myself.
Bob Ilinger 1.30Ch
Wrecking Ball Paul 1.55DR
Alaphilippe 6/1 2.10Ch*
Mrs Watson 2.36Ch

Hi Togo. All well? Good to see you back. Sorry for running 'off course', Ken. :o)
Are you at home now, Togo....hope it went will - I see I would have had a winner in that forecast for you in Constitution Hill. Hope you are feeling better though.
I didn't have the op. See my 13.03 post. Proper miffed.

Jumping may well be the name of the game, but surely 'landing' is also part of it:-(
Togo, lovely to see you posting but sorry your op was cancelled.
Question Author
"...but i honestly deserve a bit myself." You just got that in your ITV7, Togo :-))
Question Author
As you may have seen, Togo, i had posted you as MIA :-)
Have they given you a new date yet?

I have backed Coole Cody almost every time he has run at Cheltenham. But not today!! Thought my Imperial Alcazar was gonna do it once CC had (seemingly) faded. Superb ride from Adam Wedge. Bit of e.w. dosh back so really mustn't complain too much.
Half a million for tomorrow's ITV7. That's the time to win it, Togo :-)))
Question Author
And, of course i didn't do IA e.w., i put it in a f/c with Grand Paradis so not even a bit of e.w. dosh:-((
No Luck this end either. As you say tomorrow is the day to do it. Gold Cup looks wide open and I am already leaning towards the Skelton horse. It has won for me before and could be anything if it is improving as 7yr old chasers sometimes can when a trainer and owners have been patient, and going by previous runs in top grade races. At least I can have a beer after not having a gargle since Wednesday last week.

I've been otherwise engaged since late afternoon and this is the first chance i've had to catch the 5.30 result. And RESULT it was - a 40/1 winner (Chambard) to round off my day. Okay, because i took advantage of the extra places, the price stayed fixed at 33/1 but it's still £41.60 to add to the £25 for Floring Porter. My main hope came 2nd, just a pity i didn't do the forecast (paid £243.64!) says a greedy so and so:-).
Couldn't have been wronger about Miss World. I was sure the fix was in, especially when they moved the final to Paddy's Day.
Miss Poland won and she's literally an albino. Could be the nearest country to Ukraine or maybe there was no conspiracy, they just gave it to the best looking girl. I know I would.
From now on I'll stick to things I know about, ;-/. Billaway is a cert, lol, in the Hunter Chase. Done the top weight in the County Hurdle, Call Me Lyreen, but I can't touch the handicaps this year (even with 8 places)
Good luck to everyone having a bet today.......especially me.
Lovely day here now. On early so that I can go and have a pint in the sunshine with my son. Dentist first though ... to compound my woes in hospital, I also lost a temporary filling that I was "nursing" in there and am off for a replacement. Done the ITV7 and the usual**** E/W Acca, Doubles and Trebles. I did settle on Protektorat in the Gold Cup but have had a sneaky E/W single on Chantry House, which is another that I put in my stable of ones to watch with S.L. Good Luck all and I will catch up later if I don't post before I go out.
