Andy played his best, & was won by the best, that's an achievement in it's self Thenry, I think you have condemned a bloke that give his all, regards Pathetic, I think you have been very hard on him, I am not a great football fan, but did England play well? that's what you call pathetic, 11 millionaires that earn an average of £130.000 P/W but that's a different story.
OMG how can you make such a stupid comment - he was brilliant - he can hold his head up - no shame in losing to Federer who is also brilliant and been around longer.
it is not a stupid comment...4 grand slam finals 4 loses...sets won one...trouble is we love losers...eg Eddie the Eagle...when we do have a winner we knock them eg Steve Davis was termed boring..lennox lewis....people said hes not really English he trains in Canada.
Murray has always been a loser and will remain so.He has never won a worthwile title.
He is the best we have had for several generations, but that does not say a lot.
Agree with woodhamgirl. Federer is good, but Andy did well, especially at the start. He tried, and he got much further than nadal did-to the murray haters. The pressure gets to everyone.
fair play to murray, no brit has got that far for a long time, its not like he lost in straight sets to federer either. however if the negative responses are just a taste of what british support means then I am not surprised there hasnt been a british winner in many years..
As any intelligent person would tell you, there has to be a winner and a loser. What's your record of sporting victories? Or any other major achievements for that matter. There's a proverb, Empty vessels make most noise, which seems highly applicable.
