Have you ever seen a match referee sign a match ball, as Herr Stark did just before kick off ?

Have you ever seen such an eye- watering kit as PSG are wearing ?

Did you expect Beckham to start?

Oh,and a fourth: Can anyone post any score ? I'm in Juan, and the programme is on Canal +.That means that it shows the first two minutes and then the picture is 'scrambled' so you are lured into taking a subscription to see the rest ! LOL

Thinking of you nungate.
It's 0-0 after 11 minutes.

The commentator has just said that the PSG coach selected Beckham because of his 105(?) games experience of the Champions League.
Don't you mean Barcelonas kit?
Looks like a bottle of sunny delight!
as for the kit, PSG are in dark blue and it's Barcelona who are in the orange - yellow combo
0-0 so far
Thanks for the kind thoughts Daisy.

The first Barcelona match I ever watched the other team (either Valencia or Sevilla) were head to toe in pink! Not simply pink but PINK!! That was eye watering I just thought those poor beggars would never survive over here!

Still 0-0 Fred - couple of close calls though

Oops, yes I meant the other team with Qatari money is in yellow and orange! Thanks guys. I might have to follow this on the Daily Mail 'minute by minute' link, but for you! LOL The Guardian has one too, but their bloke is a rugby man; he just posted that a PSG player rose "like a second- rower at a line out" to head.
0-0 at 31mins and Messi has done very little so far
spoke too soon, inevitably he has now scored
Barca 1 PSG 0 Messi scored
1-0 Messi Scores!!!!
Just a thought Fred. I used to listen to Barca games on the Barcelona website (it was a while ago) Steve Archibald used to commentate, I don't know if this is still available you could take a look at the official Barcelona website www.fcbarcelona.com. I know they have their own Barca tv but you have to subscribe to that

Well, that's it then !Must be half-time. What should the PSG manager(face seems familiar :-) ) be saying to his team ?
Question Author
Yes nungate, could try. Thanks. Every broadcast here is tightly restricted so you can't even get radio of games (guess who has soccer rights in France next season? Clue: it's an Arab country, name begins with Q and ends in R).

Could nip out and find a sports bar, but we have a thunderstorm at the moment !
Better to stay inside then really - I'll keep you posted about the score.

Carlo Ancellotti used to manage Chelsea....if that's any help
Youe other question - call me biased but I'd tell them to lie down and give
up ;-)
Question Author
Yes, thought so , face familiar.I am a season ticket holder at Chelsea. Now let me see.He was after the Israeli bloke who managed via his deputy, but before the bloke who won the European Cup, but isn't either of two Portuguese and not Dutch.....I reckon that still leaves about 6 !
I was under the impression that the manager's entrance at Chelsea had a revolving door......
The big palooka has equalised after a hell of a stushie - ref is biased blind and left his guide dog at home ..... obviously!
