....is underway. Weather forecasts suggests a serious storm or two in the next 48 hrs could disrupt matters.
Hopefully a European can bring some of that Ryder Cup spirit to the greens and fairways as Rose, Westwood, Poulter and Donald need to fulfil Major ambitions.
But most predict Tiger will be the man come Sunday, as do I.

Easy for John Paramor to penalise a fourteen year old boy but not not so easy to follow the rules of golf where Tiger is concerned.He signed for an incorrect score which should therefore mean disqualification,end of.

Woods is not be the first player to face sanctions at this year's Masters.

Chinese 14-year-old Guan Tianlang was given a one-stroke penalty for slow play on Friday.

When asked about that decision, Woods replied: "Well, rules are rules."

Whilst I understand that it's for the competitor to know the rules, where were the officials with Tiger's group? They were prominent enough with the Crenshaw/Mannaserro/Tianling group!
I'm of the same opinion as cazzz on this one.

Guam is not the only slow player,they are all at it. He is the first to be penalised for a couple of years.

Tianling aside, who was keeping an eye on the 3 ahead of the Tiger group?
Apparently he and Donald were getting frustrated at the pace of the group ahead of them,(according to the BBC blog) yet as Peter Alliss, said, they decide to target the easiest option on the course, a schoolboy.
His attitude in the clubhouse when asked about it though was exemplary.

Reading the ruling, what did for Woods was what he said in interview . It looks as though, if he'd not said that he put the ball a yard or two away , nothing would have been done.

Cabrera could well win it. He's won it before when the stars didn't perform well. In 2009, he won in a three way play-off against Chad Campbell and Kenny Perry.

It's good stuff, and i only opened an online betting account last weekend (for the national) which adds to the interest. A winning bet on a couple of football results this afternoon helps.

After a good start Tiger has faded but hanging in there, maybe the golfing gods are a little displeased?
Cabrera looks good, as does Gonzo. Nice to see the old and bold in the shape of Langer and Couples still up there in the hunt.
