American Sport. Why Bother?

Why do Americans have their own sports that no one else in the world is interested in?
1. American Football. Is this is necessary because all the fat people in the USA need something to play?
2. Basketball. Is this to keep the World's largest prison population entertained?
3. Baseball. Does this deliberately boring game exist only so that the USA can be champions at something?

I once upset one of my American cousins when told him we played Baseball over here only we called it Rounders and it was mainly played by school girls.

Actually, this thread ought to be reported - however, it does show that Mr Plumb in full numptie colours...and maybe he should be pursued down for race relations infringements? At the very least, it is bad taste.

Where do you get the idea that no one else is interested in these sports. I know lots of people who follow American Football and basketball and baseball are also played in this country and lots of other countries in the world.

I've also made the mistake of mentioning that Baseball is played by Schoolgirls in the UK called rounders.
