I think it might be all over for the old guard. Gerrard outlasted a lot of them, for good reason.

Rooney could be dropped too... if only we could find some who could shoot on target instead.

Not only Gerrard - the whole lot should never be selected for England again.
I remember saying this after the 2010 fiasco, yet 6 of that 23 squad (in 2010) are in this current squad of 23. Hart, Johnson, Gerrard, Lampard, Milner and Rooney
