Is Anyone Interested?
Australian Tennis Open, Ladies final won by Serena Williams. Her 19th Grand Slam Title and have now gone one better than Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova. I think she might try for more. Steffi Graf has 22.

No I am not the least bit interested in women's tennis.
Only if they took a pay cut (to about 55% of the Men's payments) or played matches of five sets would I possibly take an interest. Even then I'd struggle because not only are their matches of far shorter duration but the quality does not even come close. If they think their game is worth the same as the Men's they could always play their tournaments seperately and see how many bums on seats and TV fees they get on their own.
I shall be up to cheer Andy Murray on tomorrow morning.

NJ, I'm glad you'll be up to watch AM play his match. So will I be. The Ladies game attract a very large crowd, many men would prefer to watch them play. They have the same expenses and some are head of their families so deserve their fee. There were 8.700 thousand people watching them this morning. The tournament director stated this year was the largest crowd attending so they do bring in the crowd. I hope Andy wins.
