I have been watching the snooker all week from Wales and have noticed some very odd objects similar to small fruit machines placed round the perimeter of the playing area on the floor. They must have mentioned in the commentary but I seemed to have missed it. Can anyone tell me what on earth they are or maybe they're not from earth at all!

Thank you Douglas, it appears you are the only sensible one out there. Why oh why do so many people on the AB behave like little children when what most questions are of a pertinent, legitimate and sensible nature? They should stick to the Twits or Space Block(sic) or perhaps go back to the smut of the primary school playground. I'm sure it's why many earnest enquirers don't pose questions in the first place.
