Two options Jim, no recharge on the second rest day or he faded as did G Thomas as did Wout Poels, Nibali's return to form after the second rest day is attracting some questions, The Giro beat Contador and Quitana waited too long to try and put time into Froome, Valverde was never a real challenger. As Brailsford said his lead was enough that he could control enough on stages 19 and 20 suggests they expected a big fade in the third week. Personally I'm glad its done though the fall out will last for ever.
Some talk of something new FG4592 test drug that mimics a lot of kidney function including production of natural EPO. Would maybe explain somethings but not everything!!
I suspect we'll agree to differ but a lot of the forums are happy it's over, the bs has been incredible and the british media are just lapping it up..... welcome to 1999/2000

Froome was born and brought up in Kenya but his dad played hockey for England and I think his grandparents were from Surrey, so there is some British heritage. His brothers were educated in England but for whatever reason he was educated in Kenya and South Africa. He sounds more British to me than some of the cricketers who have represented England
I would count him as British, as his family is British and he calls himself such. However, I'm not in favour of sportsmen being given medals for winning medals or trophies.
He has made an incredible achievement in the face of horrible physical and verbal assaults during a gruelling tour, and I applaud him for that, but to give him a knighthood on top of the prestigious TdF title is OTT, IMHO.

Cricketers, rugby players etc Englands squad for the upcoming world cup will have a number of foreign players who qualify under residency as do Scoltland and the rest, mostly players of south seas, New Zealand or South African descent, those generally the ones who couldn't make the All Blacks teams.... Vunipola is hardly a well known english name and there can't be many Faletaus in the Welsh valleys... I will applaud Lancasters and the RFU's rules that to be selected you must actually play in England, that's upset many of the prima donnas who went to France for better money.
Sport is very much run under a flag of convenience these days. In Froomes case it suits him to use here as a flag, it's very much suits the Sky programme as well.
Please remember this about Chris Froome, in 2010 he was a donkey that Sky were trying to ship out to anyone that would take him, no one would. With nothing to mark him out as any good before 2010 his progress has been "miraculous" since 2011....

It can be as miraculous as you like, and I'm not saying that it's not unreasonable to be suspicious. Sadly, having only really followed cycling since 2012 (not a coincidence) I'm not really in any position to judge how miraculous or not Froome's development has been. The point though is that while this can prompt suspicion that he's cheating there also needs to be concrete evidence in the form of a failed drugs test (or alternatively a motor on the bike, which I think is the other technique).
Absent this concrete evidence, I think it's reasonable to give the benefit of the doubt in favour of, rather than against, any particular sportsman. Let's hope, though, that one way or another the truth will come out.
