Was anyone watching the race? A horrific crash involving just the leader at the time. Apparently she has concussion, three cracks in her spine and is in intensive care. Absolutely terrible. It was awful to watch.

Yes, that was a terrible accident, I feared the worst for her.
It looked like she whacked her head against the verge.
Thankfully she survived it, hopefully she will make a full recovery.

I watched the men's race with spectators all over the road. The road was dangerous enough with ditches on the side without having to dodge idiots as well. Absolute chaos.
