I think we've been over this many times, but 'personality' doesn't mean 'character' but 'well known person'
Mind you they've left Chris Froome out. If you'd said 20 years ago that a British person would first of all win 3 Tours de France and then not be nominated you'd have it believed it.
I agree tho that the whole thing has got overblown. Introducing a short list and now turning that into a 'tv event'
