Winter Olympics 2018 Day 1
22 Answers
Hey, guys ...
I thought I'd drop in, and see if anyone is chatting about the Winter Games? Opening Ceremony today.
Team GB have already lost Katie Ormerod, who's fractured her heel in training. Has anyone seen the photo of her x-ray? It looks really painful. I feel heartbroken for Katie.
On the positive front, Eve Muirhead is sounding focused, and optimistic ... another Curling Gold for Team GB? Fingers crossed!
And Lizzy Yarnold ... high hopes!! ... could she actually retain her Sochi Skeleton Gold? Hopes, hopes ...
Lindsey Vonn is back for the US, so that will be exciting.
And that wacky Olympic Stadium! They've built this stadium ... it will only be used for the Opening and Closing ceremonies ... and then they're going to knock it down!
Then, there's the Russians!! "Russian athletes" can't compete, but "athletes from Russia" can. And they can have their national anthem, and their flag ... not "for" Russia, but because they are "from" Russia. Gotta LOL
Anyway, hope you're all keeping well. Be ready to cheer at your telly for the next two weeks (and three days). Be good ... big hugs ... love JJ x

I think it was JJ: but I wouldn't want to argue with a curler.
All that pent-up agression. When you see your fellow Olympians hurtling down hills, luge tracks, round skating arenas or whacking a puck into your opponent's foot it must be very frustrating to look like Mrs Mopp fastidiously sweeping the cobwebs off the ice
Only kidding of course :-)

Hi JJ Good to see you back you have been sorely missed.
Redman sends his regards, I see your favourite footballer has been scoring a few goals (David Goodwillie)
We will be watching a lot of the events I love the maddest ones like the half pipe and moghals (if that is how you spell it) Hot chocolate in hand
