Well almost, just watching some snooker on Quest Live, what is the bonging for every time anyone takes a shot? Never heard it before - must be off putting for the player, surely ?
TIA.

it's snooker shoot-out. ten minute frames, first 5 mins 15 second's a shot, second five min 10 sec per shot .you hear the last 5 seconds counting down
Think there is a time limit in this tournament in which players are required to take shot. Noise is to let players time is running out, sure they get used to it?
I have no idea, though I'm not entirely convinced it's audible to the players and spectators. Sounds like a technical broadcast problem to me, but is indeed annoying. Now watching Return of the Jedi.
Oh, right! Ignore my nonsense!
