Throughout the whole match Kyrgios has played the usual pantomime villain and has been in the umpires ear the whole time.
Tsitsipas is losing points for code violations, Kyrgios has had no sanction.
He’s wound up his opponent too with 2 underarm serves.
Not seen a match this fractious in a long time.
If he progresses, Kyrgios can’t be allowed to get away with any more of this in the tournament.

What an absolute travesty of a Wimbledon match. What ever happened to gentlemanly behaviour? I loathe Krygios and I would never in my wildest moment consider his play as "entertainment". I would have banned him, full stop. Vile man who is not worthy of a place on the lawns of Wimbledon.

Problem is Krýgios always gets away with it, his matches are nearly always like this. It's really not fair.
Underarm serves are allowed then ?
Question Author
It really isn’t. Now he’s in front he’s calmed down but is still baiting his opponent, throwing his own water bottle into Tsitsipas’s bag.
Umpire has totally bottled it(no pun intended).
Tsitsipas is aiming body shots at Kyrgios. Lots more spice to come in this one.

Always have been. I remember Lendl doing one.
What is the point of doing an uas?
Because if your opponent is standing way back behind the baseline, you can punt a gentle uas over the net leaving him no chance of moving forward quick enough.
One of the newly changed linesmen had a word with the Umpire and Kyrgios received a warning for an audible obscenity.

That was before Tsitsipas' warning.

My apologies, Lendl was involved but it was Chang who served it.

Missed that in transition, thanks for the info.

I’m praying Tsitsipas takes the fourth, Kyrgios will go to pieces I reckon.
Murray served an underarm serve just the other day, against James Duckworth ...
Apparently this guy hit 6 UAS in one game this week

I actually watched for them minutes or so but gave up in disgust - the guy should be banned - new balls please for Wimbledon Authorities.
It was a good game between the two. Margins spoilt it with his ranting & swearing. He thinks the crowd wants that. Little does he know.
The BBC is just as guilty, Canary. Why on earth did they come away from Nadal's match to watch such temper tantrums and awful manners? Maybe I am too old and with too high morals for today's shenanigans :(
Actually I think the crowd does want it for the 'entertainment' factor. That's what I found most disappointing, the crowd overwhelmingly supported him. Not what I'd expect from Wimbledon.
I wasn't sure whether the crowd were supporting him or baiting him - worse than the Ancient Roman Circus.
Too right, Prudie.

I’m of the same opinion as choux, hence Best Answer.
I’ve never liked Kyrgios, talented though he is.
He’s not in the same ‘flawed genius’ mould that McEnroe was and I find his antics shocking.
Why he’s allowed to get away with it continually is baffling.
Tsitsipas did his best not to get too riled but everyone has a breaking point.
Umpire was totally spineless and the issue needs addressing once and for all, it’s very bad for the image of tennis.
Gamesmanship is acceptable, abuse of officials, purposely irritating opponents and continually breaking the rules without sanction is definitely not.
