What Standard Of Football Does The Slovakian Team Play?

The smaller nations have shown a passion and determination lacking in England so far and Slovakia could cause problems.

They are supposed to be well organised as a team, something sadly lacking for England thus far. On paper England indiviually are far superior, I just hope as hinted at that Kobbie Mainoo does start today freeing up the midfield a bit. Personally I'd start Cole Palmer as well, but i'm not the boss.

Their players would most likely find a home in lower level Premier League clubs or more likely the Championship. But they do work well as a team and I could see them finishing midtable in the Premier League.

England have players who could all do well in a top 6 Premier League side but don't play well as  a team. As a result, the current England tean would currently struggle to finish in the top half of the Premier League, unless they got someone like Guardiola to manage them and drill them into a team.

Offering odds of 4/9 on an England win, the bookies seem to think it's in the bag.

Slovakia are ranked 45th in the world. England are 5th.  
England should win.  
Slovakia have a chance, they don't have Southgate as coach.

England should win easy but there are no easy games in this tournament and the way we've been playing I wouldn't be surprised if Slovakia do us.

Slovakia are an inferior team in ranking and value but there is no easy game in tournament football. If England turn up they should win 3-0 and then go on to improve and peak for the semis and final.
