Hi,
Couldnt find an appropriate topic to pop this into so here goes!

I need to work out a percentage and I cant get my head round it. The scenario goes like this:-

If I received 249 enquiries between 08/01/08 - 12/07/08 and 1288 enquiries between 08/01/09 - 12/07/09 what is the percentage increase on last years enquiries?

Thanks in advance!

5.17% ?

Dont you divide 1288 by 249 ?
erm maybe not LOL
It's a 417% increase: (1288-249)/249 = 4.17 = 417%.
It's an increase of 417% (to nearest unit)

Increase = 1288 -249 = 1039

1039 as a percentage of 249 = (1039  249) x 100 417.2690763
I reckon its 517%.
