my son (who is 8) was told by his teacher today that he would never make it as a footballer as his talents would of been noticed by now.......... so he is now planning on working in a factory!!!

its parents evening next week and i want a list of footballers who came into top flight football long after leaving school.

i know stuart pierce was one.

anymore would be very appreciative.

the teacher is a woman who quite frankly is a disgrace telling a group of 8 an 9 year olds that they would have been picked up by now if they were any good.

i shall do a google and get some facts on all those players mentionedand present her with my pile of facts on parents evening on thursday!!!
