misnemessis........because certain pitches on certain grounds deteriorate as the days progress and hence the team that loses the toss would then have to bat last on a poor and crumbled pitch.

It was torrential rain the other week at Murrayfield but the rugby boys played on even though the pitch was all chewed up.

Yeah, yeah ... ha ha.

England were runners up in the World Series a couple of weeks ago, only losing by 2 points (I think) to New Zealand in the Final.
