Bowler runs in and umpire shouts "no ball" on delivery, bats man hears this and smashes the ball and is caught. Not out. buit the fielding captain feels if wasn't a no ball and asks for a review which shows the delivery was legitimate, decision overturned and batsman is given out. However the batsman says he only swung at the ball the way he did because he heard the no ball call. What happens now?
still out, the batsman assumed wrongly it was a "free swipe". In effect he ignored the possibilty that the fielding captain would challenge and that the challange would be upheld.
