There are few decent teams in the south for them to follow..........?
'cus they're glory hunting swines! I'm guessing the southern based Leeds fanbase is dwindling!

so many of your players arent bloody english too be honest. its al about who your bought up with my dad bought me up round man u so it goes hand in hand.
I don't any that support Man United and Leeds. I wasn't aware of any significant support for Leeds but I certainly agree about Man united (or Mern U) as the Londoners call them.
Who are you talking to, Tammo ?
Maybe they're northeners who've come down to steal southerners jobs and women and settled. :)
The cockney whites, are few in numbers nowadays.
lol its weird really everyone is an anti manu fan when we are tearing the league up i wil be supporting thn even if they get relegated. but hey ho were not liverpool
Fair weather supporters and glory hunters in the case of Man U , Leeds have fallen by the wayside of late so what support they had, have crawled back into the woodwork until they get back to the Prem.
I think a lot of children who get in to football very young start supporting who their dad does or who is good at the time. I've been supporting Liverpool since I was 8 (for my sins) and I'm a southerner. Epsom and Ewell weren't very good at the time, and still aren't!
a lot of people have jumped on the man city band wagon since they found "wealth"

I can only reason that some people will support big 4 sides from all over the uk because of the high certainty of success that these clubs glean. maybe its about backing a winner rather than coping with failure?
I agree there jan, kids tend to follow the teams their parents support
I started supporting man u when I was 11, my brother and dad used to take me to Goodison Park as they were big Everton fans, that was in the days when you gave a local kid a tanner to watch your car
My Dad was an Arsenal supporter...My Sister is a big Arsenal supporter...as are many of my Uncles...

Poor Prendy up there was convinced otherwise by his Dad. What's your middle names Prendy??? Hahaha...your Mum got one over on your Dad...Michael Thomas...hehe
lol i know it is true im manu at heart but have had my soul damaged my an arsenal player

lol cheers for the input mate thats the end of the line for me
