System Files
Could someone explain to me in Layman's terms what they are for.
When I delete my browsing history with CCleaner there are always loads of System Files to delete along with IE Explorer Files.
Are these files something to do with memory ?

They are marked with the System attribute so that you can't delete them. Chances are, even if you were to remove the System attribute, you'd still not be able to delete them directly because they will be in use by the operating system. Just ignore them...
