We have a BT Home Hub 2.0 which connects to our laptop by an ethernet cable.
The plastic catch on one end has broken off & therefore the plug doesn't stay put very well in the hole (not very technical, I know!)
I've looked on BT's website, but can't find what cable I need to replace it.
Can anybody help? THANK YOU :-)

A 10metre cable may be a little long for the OPs needs :)

For the purposes of connecting to a hub at home any Ethernet cable is fine and you can get them from thousands of places as they are standard (CAT5, CAT5e or CAT6 really won't matter in this situation)

Or if you are in a hurry, any PCworld, dixons, comet or even most larger supermarkets with a decent electronics section will sell them (will cost more though)
