When I try scrolling up or down on Answerbank it appears to hang, often for a few seconds.

I am running WinXP, with good download rate on a good PC, I have Kaspersky Virus Scan installed, (the paid Version) and Malware, and Im using IE, this problem does not occur on any other site.

I play World of WarCraft with a good frame rate and without missing a beat.

I have SiSoftware Sandra Lite 2010.SP3 installed if you need any further information.

Its more of a minor irritation and a bit of curiosity than anything.

Many thanks.

This happens to me as well. I have always put it down to general business on the 'net, as it seems to occur on other sites as well. But it would be interesting to hear from anybody who has other possible answers !
I think it happens to most people. I always assumed it was stuff happening in the background temporarily hogging the CPU or other resources. That's the thing with these PCs, most of the processes on the task manager list mean little to anyone; just have to assume they need to run.

So why only on this site, that's what is confusing me.

World of Warcraft is a fairly demanding online game that many PCs struggle with due to the action and demanding graphics, mine sails through it without a hitch.
Ah. <shrug>.

I reckon it's Ed set the site up to say, "Ah it's that ratter guy again, hold him up a mo while we work out what he's up to".

Could be the ads or pictures I suppose, conflicting with some AV or other check software you have. Unsure.

Maybe I suppose, Oh, I can live with it. Thanks all.
