Can anyone please tell me how I can send documents from my laptop to the printer that is connected to the PC?
At the moment, I usually work with the laptop and it's a pain having to save everything on the USB and then go to the PC to print.
I'm not very techno-savvy - my latest achievement was plugging in the new TV and watching it programme itself.
Many thanks.

Make sure that both the PC and laptop are members of the same workgroup
On the PC, right-click "sharing and indicate that you wish to share the printer
On the laptop got to the network, locate the printer on the PC, right-click and choose either "Use" or "Connect" (can't remember which).
As you haven't bothered to tell us what OS you are running on each machine, it's difficult to post more precise instructions.

Thank you for your reply.
It wasn't a case of 'not bothering' - I didn't know this information was needed.
The PC uses XP and the laptop Vista.
Thanks.
PC:
Right-click My Computer, Choose Properties
Click on the "Computer Name" tab, and check the name of the workgroup (Probably MSHOME or WORKGROUP) Make a note of it.

Click Start/Settings/Printers and Faxes
Right-click your printer and choose Sharing
Put a dot by Share this printer and give it a name
Click OK

Vista Instructions in next post
Laptop: (I don't have Vista, so these are for Windows 7, which should be pretty similar)
Right-click Computer, choose Properties.
In the 3rd section on the right, check the workgroup name. If it's not the same as the one you noted on the pc, click Change Settings. On the Computer Name page click the Change button. In the Workgroup field type in the workgroup name exactly as it appeared on your other machine.
Click OK to close that window, and OK again to close the previous one.
You may be asked to restart your computer, if so do it now.

Double-Click Network
You should see both your laptop and your PC listed by name. Double-click the PC.
You should see the printer on your PC. Right-click and choose connect.
