Would it be possible to adapt QR codes for newspaper/magazine articles, such that one printed at the end could help provide a link to the online version? If so, do any publishers have plans to introduce them for this?

There would be no need to adapt them, that's pretty much exactly what they are for.

And I've seen several magazines with QR codes at the end of articles that provide a link to more info online.
