Missing network drivers
7 Answers
A few weeks ago I posted a question relating to my Acer Aspire 0722 notebook. I had downloaded the trial version of Windows 8 and found that it had wiped out my Windows7 (64 bit) files.
Thanks to the Answerbank, I have managed to re-install my Win 7 with Win to flash and a flash drive. I now have the problem that I cannot connect either wired or wirelessly to the Internet and get the message that there are no network drivers installed.
Is there a way I can install this, again with a flash drive? I know the internal network adapter is an Atheros but not sure how to go about re-installing the drivers.
I have only had this notebook for 3 months and would hate to consign it to the bin due to stupid curiosity about Windows 8.
I will be eternally grateful if someone can solve this problem for me!!!

I have successfully copied the file to my flash drive and installed it on my notebook. When I double click the file, I get the option of 32,64 bit and ndis6xWin7. If I double click on the 64 bit option, it then says install CD. There are a list of options, none of which Windows can open. If I double click on the Win 7 option, again I get a list of options but I cannot find any offline programme that will open any of these files.

ChuckFickens, sorry for taking so long to get back to you but you are a star!I totally re-loaded Win7 onto my flsash drive along with all the network drivers from the Acer download page you gave me the link to and my notebook is working perfectly again.
I cannot thank you enough as I really was about to give up hope.!!!
