I have ordered a Ubislate 7+ slate and I had intended purchasing a dongle to connect to the internet.
I now notice, from their website that to get a GPRS connection the tablet has an embedded modem that eliminates the need for an external dongle.
My question is, how do I connect to Orange, who gives the best reception where I am going to live in a few weeks time.
Presumably, I shall have to enter into some sort of contract with them, but is this possible now that I shall not be purchasing a dongle from them.
Thanks in anticipation

Get a dongle (they're free anyhow) and take the sim card out of it and put it in the tablet.

You might need to hunt out the setup info (such as the user name and password, gateway address etc) to enter into the tablet, but that shouldn't be too hard to find.

Thanks Chuck. Good advice as usual
I would suggest not to buy Ubislate either. it is one of the best crap i have ever seen. it hangs, it bags and might even get exploded.

a friendly advise only. take it or leave it.
Tanya, if the OP wishes to & has ordered this style of tablet, then it's they're choice, and is not up to us to disuade them/ foist your opinion of their choice as to purchasing their chosen tablet. As this is your 1st(?) post, it's not a good start, is it???

I just wonder if Tanya has any experience of the Ubislate 7+. They have only been released to the UK market since late February, and there is a waiting list for them. I ordered mine in February for an estimated April delivery. It is only costing about £45 so if the worst comes to the worst, I am not throwing a fortune away
