2 TB hard drive broken
My friend dropped his hard drive - 2 TB worth of material broken.
He's been quoted a grand to get all the materials transferred over to a new drive. Just wondering if anyone here can recommend someone that can do it for less. He's pretty gutted, by the way, as you can expect.
Thanks all.

Backups should be in multiple places, on CD/DVD, on another computer, on 2 or 3 external hard disks, and up in the "cloud" on one of the web based backup services (Google, Microsoft, Dropbox etc etc - there are loads of them).
There is a computeractive magazine out the moment about "The cloud" and it lists all the different companies who will rent you disk space on their "cloud" servers for safe keeping.
