PC problem

My PC has been playing up for the past couple of months now and its driving me mad. I open up IE and use the tabs to browse website as normal, however my screen freezes and I can't click on anything. Then I get a message in the top bar saying "(not responding)" so I close down IE and open again using the restore last session when prompted. This is happening more and more now and its really p!ssing me off.

Can anyone help me with this?

The IE crash problem can also be caused by spyware, an add-on, a computer virus. I suggest you run a full scan with your anti-virus program.

Thanks Methyl, I now know I'm using IE8. I tried downloading IE9 again last night but something went wrong again. Hoping my brother will pop round at the weekend and help me.
