taskbar colour change

hi my taskbar has suddently turned from original " blue " to white, any ideas as to how to get back please "windows 7 and internet explorer 9 thanks

Right-click the desktop and select "Personalize". Then click "Window colour" at the bottom and you can change it there.

thank you for your reply,but in the window colour dropdown list the "taskbar" option is not there

It seems you have to be using an Aero theme to be able to change the taskbar colour, so just click one of those in the Personalize window and then change the colour to suit.

thanks for your help,but it seems i cant use the "aero" themes not sure why ,thanks anyway

as aquariel said right click on desktop click personalize and colour option should be at bottom of page just tried it and it worked

It ciould be that you've had a driver update and windows has got confused as to the performance index of your machine (if it's below a certain level, Aero will be turned off).
Right-click Computer
Choose properties
Click on Windows Experience Index
Click on Re-run the assessment (at bottom right)
