The frame has cracked and separates when the lid is lifted. Theres a hole under the wifi light that looks it might me a tiny screw hole - is it?

cant quite picture what you mean but have a look at this link about the screen - its very specific about how to repair bits. If this isnt the correct one there will usually be another that will answer you fully.

thanx Quoi, closeup of step 2 shows a hole on right of the framework. The keyboard frame lifts on opening the lappy.

Should I glue it ?
