Thanks to everybody who answered me; I have printed out all the advice and will practise from now on.. The great discovery was 'right click' which led me to 'send to'.

There are plenty of books on how to use Windows. Search in Amazon.

There are books for absolute beginners, and while you don't say how old you are there are books like Windows for Seniors.

Also your local college or library may do courses on how to use computers at a low cost or maybe even free.

My local computer group do one to one "hands on" sessions on how to use computers at the local library.
