However the normal way is to put the first recovery disk in the computer, then turn the computer OFF.
Then, with the disk still in the computer, turn it on, and try to get the computer to boot off the first disk.
Note that a computer normally boots off the hard disk (with Windows on it) so you normally need to make changes to your computer so it boots from the CD/DVD drive before it boots from the hard disk.
This will normally involve going into the BOOT OPTIONS (if you can) and make the PC to boot from the CD/DVD drive (this is what I do on a Dell that I have).
The other option is to go into the BIOS and change the boot order so the CD/DVD drive is set before the hard disk in the boot order.
Of course some recovery disks can be started by pressing a certain "F" key during boot up, so the best way to check how to do it is to go to the web site of the company who made your PC and see if they tell you on there.
Or look at the documentation that came with the PC.
