I am able to print a document but unable to use the printer for scanning. When scanning I get a message ''Operation could not be completed (error Ox00000015). The device is not ready.''
I have Googled the message but the answers I have had finish up with a request to purchase 'A fix Register programme'.
You certainly don't need to purchase anything that will "fix the registry".
Do you have the most current drivers installed?
Sounds basic, I know, but have you tried turning the machine (what make/model is it?) off, waiting 5 mins & trying again? This is often the simplest fix for printers.
If the make/model allows, you could try resetting the machine to its factory defaults.
I feel certain someone more qualified will see this & help you if the above is no good.
You've either not installed the scanner driver or it's become corrupt. Simply reinstall it from the disk that came with the printer/scanner and the problem should be solved.
