Putting Shortcuts On The Desktop In Windows 10
Since the official windows help doesn't help and other sites are no better, can anybody who has actually put a shortcut on their desktop in W10 tell me how they did it? much appreciation if you can...

For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.To create a website shortcut get the url (copy the contents of the address bar) right-click on the Desktop and select New which brings up a submenu, the 2nd item of which is Shortcut so select that. In the new popup the first prompt is for the location so paste the url into that, click next and then provide whatever name you want, then click on finish.
