I have copied the URL in the address bar, right clicked on the desktop and clicked New - Shortcut. Copied the address in to the box and I have a shortcut on my desktop
In (old) google browser (not chrome) in W10, I have top-right a 3 horizontal bar symbol to the right of the star. If I click on this I get a drop down list of all my favourites. What I want to do is copy this list and all its links into my other browser which is Firefox and in which 'favourites' are called 'bookmarks'.
hc; Thanks, but that's from Google Chrome, which I'm not using, but in explaining it I think I can see where I'm going wrong; My 'favourites' in old-Google are each one simply a file, perhaps if I copy them all into a one new file I can export the lot to Firefox ?
If you're not using Chrome what are you using?
As I keep saying, I'm using the ordinary, older, pre-chrome version of Google.
Is it too obvious to suggest you update to Chrome and then export your bookmarks to FF?

Or save your bookmarks in Google as a HTML document and then import that to FF

Export your bookmarks from Google

Sign-in to Google
Go to http://www.google.com/bookmarks/bookmarks.html. This will download your bookmarks in an HTML file.
Any chance of a screenshot of your google browser, as I have never seen a pre-Chrome version?

Hi Khandro, My computer had a senior moment when I posted my reply, I wondered what had happened to it. Obviously no need to re-post it.
I've now come to see these re-installations of software as a spring clean and just re-install things as I need them. It's a bit like tidying drawers, chuck out what you don't want and you lose a third of the contents, empty the drawer and pput back what you want you retain a third. There is some profound cosmic principal operating I'm sure.
hc; Thanks, I know you are trying hard, but everything you say only works from Chrome. I have been round the houses with this again and again in that I had so much trouble installing Chrome in the language of my choice in the country that I am in, that was why I went in despair to FF.
I think jomifl; ^^ is correct and sums up my predicament well, I shall start to spring clean, and build a new list of favorites from scratch in FF

OK Beso, I'm with you, I'd forgotten that there are all those other scales superimposed on the chromatic scale.
