Hi All

Not been on for a while and hope this finds everyone well.

I upgraded to Windows 10 and found that I didn't like it (nor did my laptop!) and so went back to 8.1.

The problem is that now every time I turn my laptop on it searches for updates and then tries to download Windows 10 again.

It is extremely annoying..

Can anyone advise how to stop this happening please?

Thank you in advance for any assistance.

Disable GWX.exe services/processes from within task manager
Rename GWX folder in system32 and syswow64
Uninstall the update KB3035583
Delete $Windows.~BT folder (and / or) $Windows.~WS folder
When windows update selects this update again right click and select Hide

Thinking of upgrading myself. May I ask out of interest why you didn't like Windows 10?
